Huawei P50 Pocket (Premium Edition) | Unboxing & Full Tour

Unboxing the Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition, the global foldable boasting capable True Chroma camera tech and respectable specs. Here in the UK/Europe it’ll cost from 1299 Euros, so not cheap, but the Huawei P50 Pocket is premium through and through with a glorious compact form like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. This hands-on review runs through the best (and worst) bits.

Huawei’s 40MP camera can shoot natural looking photos in most conditions, although it struggles in low light unlike the P50 Pro. You’ve got a night mode for static subjects and a load of other bonus modes to play with, plus 4K video capture.

EMUI 12 lacks Google Services support as usual but you can still get most apps downloaded via the App Gallery or in APK form. Performance is easily good enough for gaming, while the Huawei P50 Pocket’s battery life is also great for a foldable smartphone. I had no problems playing with the camera, getting games on the go and streaming video for a full day on a single charge.

Check out my review of the P50 Pro for a closer look at this super-premium (but less bendy) phone.
