Motorola Moto Edge 30 Review | Needs longer in the oven?

Reviewing Motorola’s Moto Edge 30 smartphone, boasting some of the best camera tech and respectable specs for this mid-range UK price. I’ve been testing the Moto Edge 30 as my full time phone for a week and here’s my verdict on the battery life, gaming prowess, stock Android experience and more.

For under £400 in 2022, you have a lot of choice in the mobile world. If your priority is a camera, this Motorola blower will be a strong rival to the Pixel 6a when that smartphone is finally launched (unboxing hopefully imminent!). You can shoot good looking photos in most conditions, even quite low light.

The Moto Edge 30’s fresh, clean Android 12 vibe is one of the other advantages here, while the media performance is solid too. A 144Hz AMOLED screen and stereo speaker setup makes up for the lack of headphone jack and expandable storage.

However, the Motorola Edge 30 is still quite buggy, which makes it less than enjoyable to use at times. Hopefully an update will put paid to that very soon!

It’s time that I dedicate a room just for this purpose and call it my personal library if you will. I was joking with a friend who came over to visit that it is as if I’m collecting dinosaur bones, as if this is a Museum. You see, in the future we may not be printing our books, and while we may be saving trees and putting electronic books into e-readers, it still may not be the same.
