The OnePlus Open (previously the OnePlus V Fold etc) has a precarious launch date of August/September 2023, and here’s all the rumours on this foldable phone’s specs. From the camera tech to the Snapdragon stuffed inside, the OnePlus Open has been debated a lot online. But will this folding smartphone stand up vs the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Pixel Fold?
Well, you can certainly expect premium hardware including a zero gap design to take on Samsung and Google’s rivals. The OnePlus Open should be rather skinny with a leather-style back and circular camera. Those optics will apparently include a 48MP primary camera, 48MP ultra-wide and 64MP telephoto. Plus of course the usual internal cameras.
The OnePlus Open should be a powerhouse with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, although some rumours even have an 8 Plus Gen 2 crammed in there. Perhaps just an overclocked version of the original, like the Red Magic 8S Pro and Samsung’s blowers?
Battery life will hopefully be good too, with fast charging support chucked in. But we’ll know for sure when the OnePlus Open launch happens in hopefully a month.
