This week we compare Samsung’s Galaxy A53 5G with the slightly cheaper A33 5G, two of the best new mid-range smartphones of 2022, if Sammy hasn’t gone and bollocksed it. They’re respectable upgrades over the previous generation – both the Samsung A53 5G and A33 sport an Exynos 1280 which should prove better for gaming, while the camera tech is one of the only differences between the pair.
As well as new Galaxy phones, we saw the global launch of the Xiaomi 12, 12X and 12 Pro. Unboxings live right now, review of the Xiaomi 12 Pro coming as soon as I regain the power of sight. So far I’m really liking the regular Xiaomi 12, which is more compact and boasts better battery life vs that more premium model.
