Unboxing the OneXplayer 2 handheld gaming console, with a review of the gameplay in AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077. A Steam Deck and Aya Neo 2 rival that’s twice the size of a Switch OLED, the OneXplayer 2 boasts beefy AMD Ryzen 6800U performance so gaming on the latest PC offerings is certainly possible. But is this the best 2023 portable console vs the Steam Deck and Ayaneo 2?

Those specs are certainly impressive, and comparable to the greatest handhelds. That AMD processor with Radeon 680U graphics can handle Cyberpunk and other recent games on Full HD settings, offering crisper visuals than Valve’s device. The OneXplayer 2 battery life is also respectable, with almost two hours of play time when gaming on Atomic Heart – plus 100W charging.

However, the OneXplayer 2 is absolutely enormous, so not as portable as rivals like the Deck and Switch OLED. The IPS screen isn’t as bright as I’d like, so outdoor gaming is limited. And that fan can get noisy!

Overall though, I’m enjoying my time with the OneXplayer 2 and will happily keep on gaming on it. Perhaps just in my living room though, rather than out and about. Check out my reviews of the other best handheld gaming consoles of 2023 for more ideas!
